Concrete Repair – Crack Injection and Chemical Grouting

The presentation will cover an introduction of chemical grouts used for the injection of cracks and joints in concrete structures. We will review the characteristics and properties of the grouts along with the applications associated with the repair. Based on the type of crack and water pressure we will discuss why we would use one grout as opposed to another. The presentation will feature pictures and illustrations of various cracks and leaks which are common in commercial and civil construction. An introduction of the equipment, injection ports, and surface preparation requirements will be discussed along with the proper drilling standards so the attendees can see how the repairs are performed as they relate to the chemical grout(s) selected.
