Challenges with Low-Slope Roof Replacement

Description

This presentation discusses challenges you may encounter with low-slope roofing replacements, focusing on case studies that explore design considerations unique to working with existing buildings compared to new construction. Key issues include physical geometry and structural limitations, maintaining continuity of water, vapour and heat control, compatibility of materials and tie-in with adjacent cladding assemblies, and minimizing disruptions to occupants. By discussing real-world examples, this presentation aims to raise awareness of these challenges, propose practical solutions, and minimize surprises on your next roof replacement project.
