Introducing the AISC Steel Construction Manual

Description

If you are an engineer new to steel design, this webinar will offer an excellent overview of important details to look for and how the AISC Steel Construction Manual is used as a design reference. This presentation will begin with a brief overview of the AISC Steel Construction Manual, look at how various standards are linked, and provide some historical context to the Manual and how it is used in the design of steel structures. A chapter-by-chapter review of the Manuel will be given while highlighting key changes and updates to the AISC 16th edition Steel Construction Manual. The latest edition of the Manual, which was published in mid-2023, contains new design criteria along with new design tables and aids, which will be the focus of this presentation, along with design examples.

(Please note this webinar will only be available as a live presentation. It will NOT be archived in the WiRE Content Library.)
